LLFC - Codes of Conduct

Logan Lightning FC Inc expects all Members of the club (Committee, Coaches, Managers, Players, Parents etc) to abide by the Code of Conduct at all times.

Players Code of Conduct

  • Play by the rules.
  • Never agrue with an official
  • Control your temper. Swearing, verbal and physical abuse is not tolerated.
  • Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your team's performance will benifit and so will you.
  • Be a good sport, applaud all players whether they are your team or the opposition.
  • Treat all players as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully, harass or take unfair advantage of  another player. This extends to social networking sites such as facebook, myspace and other on-line forums.
  • Have respect for, and co-operate with your coaches, team mates, opponents and club officials.
  • Play for your own enjoymaent and benifit, not just to please others.
  • Respect the rights of all other participants.
  • Respect club facilities which are provided for the enjoyment of all.
  • The inappropriate use of social media (facebook,twitter,forums etc.) relating to the club, its members and other clubs / players will not be tolerated.

Coaches & Officials Code of Conduct

  • Place the safety and welfare of the participants above all else.
  • Accept responsibility for all actions taken.
  • Be impartial and avoid any situation that may lead to a conflict of interest.
  • Be courteous, repectful and open to discussion and interaction.
  • Value the individual in sport.
  • Seek continual self-improvement through study, performance appraisal and regular updating of competencies.
  • Encurage inclusively and access to all areas of officiating.
  • Be a positive role model in behaviour and personal appearance.
  • Do not harass players.
  • Show concern and caution towards sick and injured players.
  • Remember the primary objective is for you and the players to have fun and participate.
  • All players should receive equivalent game time over the season.
  • Coaches / Managers must not enter the field of play without consent of the referee.
  • Coaches / Managers must not speak to or approach a player from an opposition team (including in-house games).
  • The inappropriate use of social media (facebook,twitter, forums, etc.) relating to the club, its members and other clubs / players will not be tolerated.

Parents / Spectators Code of Conduct

  • Remember that children play football / soccer for their enjoyment not yours.
  • Encourage children to participate, do not force them.
  • Focus on the player's effort and performance rather than winning or losing.
  • Encourage children to play according to the rules of the game.
  • Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a game.
  • Remember that children learn best by example. applaud good play by both teams.
  • Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse, including swearing.
  • Show your appreciation of volunteer coaches, officials and administrators. Without them your child could not participate.
  • Respect referee and official's decisions and teach children to do likewise.
  • Encourage children to recognise the value of an honest effort so that the result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment.
  • Ensure your child is not left unattended prior to or after either training or fixtures.
  • Ensure your child safely arrives to or departs from the club for either training or fixtures.
  • Help the Club Administration by alerting them to or fixing a matter which presents a risk to the well being of the players, members or vistors of the club.
  • Smoking is prohibited at our venue except for dedicated "smoking areas".
  • The consumption of alcohol outside the defined areas is prohibited.
  • Do not enter the field of play or approach coaches / managers during the game.
  • The inappropriate use of social media (facebook, twitter, forums, etc) relating to the club, its members and other clubs / players will not be tolerated.
